Immunity and recovery
Have a light meal an hour before and drink enough water; do not have the session on an empty stomach. Set up a comfortable, quiet place to sit or lie down, with water to hand. If you take regular medication, tell the doctor.
A drip can be a one-off or a course. A course is considered for marked vitamin deficiencies, chronic fatigue and recovery after illness. The doctor draws up a plan: how many sessions and at what intervals.
